  • Hong Kong Central Library - Exhibition Gallery

We are holding an exhibition showcasing Ko Nam’s watercolor, ink and oil paintings on subjects including the lotus and the landscape that are inspirations from his motherland Chengdu. Ko Nam hopes his paintings can release the audience from the stress of daily life to find refuge in the beauty of the nature. He says the most magical thing about his life is that while he lost hearing, he has got the ability of using painting as a communication tool.

Born in China in 1963, ADA Angel Ko Nam lost his hearing due to childhood sickness. From the early stage of his life, he set his career to become a painter. Ko Nam loves nature and travels widely in China. He skilfully interprets the realistic world with his feelings using colourful strokes and brushes. Ko Nam’s paintings are full of nature’s touching facets as well as the painter’s inner passions. He is skilled in painting the mountains, the countryside, the snow and the wood scenes. Ko Nam is the winner of the Poster design, Silk Painting and Watercolour Painting Contest in 2003 and 2007. In 2004 – 2006, he participated in various exhibitions, e.g., The International VSA Arts Festival, Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition for the Celebration of PRC National Day and International Festival of Inclusive Arts.
