Community Arts Partnership



With the aim to encourage more opportunities of cross-disciplinary collaborations between persons and artists with or without disabilities to promote inclusion in society as well as more cultural diversity to appeal mutual appreciation between PWDs and non-PWDS through these partnerships, we will organise the following programmes proactively to reach out more potential target audiences.

 

Outreach workshop / performance collaborating with social service sectors

- reach PWDs outside JCIAS and introduce the project to potential workshop participants.

 

Project / performance collaborating with arts groups/ NGOs

- outreach to different communities

- display artworks and performances of our PWDs

 

Artist in the making scheme

- 3 AWDs will be commissioned to lead art projects

- encourages AWDs to proactively apply their skills and knowledge to become proactive community artists, facilitate inclusive community building and enhance their leadership skills.

“Hands Across the Ocean” Interactive Dance Workshop is open for recruitment!

“Hands Across the Ocean” is an online interactive dance workshop co-organized by Arts with the Disabled Association Hong Kong and Magpie Dance (UK). A series of 10 online workshops connects dancers from Hong Kong and the UK, providing a platform where they can share the difference in daily life experience, exchange unique cultural identities, and integrate all these ideas to create a dance film. The film will be broadcasted in various cultural festivals to promote international collaboration of the disabled artists.
