sia Playback Gathering 2009 (APG 2009), a 3-day gathering with sharing and workshops, was successfully held from 8 to 10 August, 2009 (Sat - Mon). Many Playbackers from Hong Kong participated in the event.

This 3-day event was organized by Even Nearer Theatre - Taiwan. With the topic "Joyful Feast", APG 2009 opened a space for Playbackers to share, learn, interact with each other, and talk about their stories. In turn, to build an interwoven network of stories in Asia together. The first day of the APG 2009 mainly focused on Master Seminars and get to know each other, the second day mainly focused on sharings, presentations and workshops and the third day mainly focused on open space and closing ceremony.

With the support of the Arts Development Fund of the Home Affairs Bureau, Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, representatives from ADA and the School of Playback Theatre (Hong Kong) delivered two presentations and a workshop in APG 2009, which are Community Cultural Development through Playback Theatre in Hong Kong | ), How Playback Theatre Helps to Build an Inclusive and Equal Society – the Formation and Touring Performances of Sunshine Playback Theatre ( | ) and Universal Facilitation - Inclusive Playback Theatre Leading to Social Change.
